TCS Nashik Forced Conversion Case & Sexual Exploitation
Court Reserves Order on Nida Khan Anticipatory Bail as Police Hunt Continues
Nashik/Mumbai, April 28, 2026 – The Nashik Sessions Court has reserved its order on the anticipatory
bail application of Nida Khan, the main accused in the high-profile TCS Nashik forced conversion case involving serious
allegations of sexual exploitation, mental harassment, intimidation, and forced religious conversion.
After detailed in-camera arguments held on April 27, Additional Sessions Judge K.G. Joshi has posted the matter for
pronouncement of the order on May 2, 2026.
Nida Khan (26), a process associate at TCS Nashik (nicknamed “Dabangg Ma’am” by some staff), remains the only
accused still at large out of the eight named in the nine FIRs. Seven others, including her brother Danish
Sheikh and associates such as Tausif Bilal Attar, Shafi Shaikh, and Asif Ansari, have been arrested and are currently in
judicial custody.
Police Hunt Continues
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has deployed multiple teams across Mumbai, Thane (Mumbra, Bhiwandi), Pune, and Nashik
to trace Nida. Despite several raids based on inputs from her family, police have failed to locate her so far. Her
mobile phone has been frequently switched off, making digital tracking difficult. Addresses provided by her relatives
were found locked and empty every time.
Nida’s husband, Moin Naveed Iqbal Khan (a logistics officer at Amazon Web Services in Mumbra), was detained and
questioned for several hours in mid-April. He was later released without arrest and is not named as an accused in the
case.
Nida’s family claims she is pregnant (around two months), staying safely at their Mumbai home, and not absconding.
However, she has not appeared before the court, and no interim relief from arrest was granted earlier.
Key Allegations
Prosecutors told the court that Nida allegedly:
- Provided a burqa and Islamic religious books to a survivor
- Installed religious apps on the victim’s phone
- Took her to her residence to teach hijab wearing, namaz, and recitation of the Kalma
- Pressured her to change her name and convert
- Lured her with a fake job offer in Malaysia
The TCS Nashik forced conversion case, which came to light after an undercover police operation in February 2026,
involves at least eight survivors (mostly women). Police have seized the burqa, religious literature, and multiple
mobile devices. The investigation has now expanded to possible links in Malegaon and deeper digital/funding analysis.
TCS has suspended all the accused employees (including Nida) and described the allegations as “gravely concerning.” The
company is conducting an internal probe with external support and has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on workplace
misconduct.

What to Expect Next
- May 2, 2026: Crucial court verdict on Nida Khan’s anticipatory bail. Rejection would allow
immediate arrest upon tracing her. - Intensified search and digital surveillance by the SIT.
- Possibility of more victims coming forward and additional charges.
- Further details on the Malaysia link and any wider conspiracy angle.
This case has raised serious concerns about workplace safety, religious coercion, and employee vulnerability in the
IT-BPO sector in Maharashtra.
Update on TCS Nashik Forced Conversion Case
On May 2, 2026, the Nashik Sessions Court rejected Nida Khan’s anticipatory bail plea, citing the serious and
“multi-dimensional” nature of the allegations involving sexual harassment and forced religious conversion. Nida
Khan remains absconding and has not been arrested. Police continue to hunt for her.
